?? Covid update - Tuesday ??
?? No new cases in the Hunter-New England region in the past 24 hours - that's 26 consecutive days.
?? Statewide, cases remain at a low and manageable level with 13 new cases reported over the past 24 hours. Of those, two are returned travellers now in hotel quarantine and the other 11 have all been traced to existing or previously reported cases. All are in the Sydney area.
?? There were just 70 new cases recorded in Victoria over the past 24 hours and a further five deaths.
?? Australia's death toll now stands at 657, with the NSW toll still at 54 and Victoria's at 570.
?? The number of active cases in NSW stands at 174. The number of active cases in Victoria is still falling but stands at 2519.
?? There's only two active cases quarantined in the entire Hunter-New England region (at Hamilton) but those cases are expected to be 'recovered' in coming days. Once that happens, the region will be entirely Covid-free.
?? In order to keep that going, please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? If you notice any symptoms, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible.
