?? COVID UPDATE - TUESDAY
?? Happy to report that Covid-19 remains very much under control in our region and throughout NSW. Thanks to everyone doing the right thing, as well as those doing the hard yards in the front line.
?? There were no new cases in the Hunter-New England region over the past 24 hours - that's 32 consecutive days.
?? Current active cases in the Hunter-New England region: ZERO!
?? There were nine new cases reported statewide over the past 24 hours. Of those, three are returned overseas travellers in quarantine. Five are linked to a known case or cluster (three linked to Concord Hospital and two to the CBD cluster). The remaining case was recorded in south-east Sydney and has no known source at the moment, which of course is a concern.
?? A further 55 new cases have been reported in Victoria over the past 24 hours and another 8 deaths. There was one new case recorded in Queensland.
?? Australia's death toll now stands at 770, with the NSW toll still at 54 and Victoria's climbing to 683.
?? The number of active cases in NSW is steady at 144. There are 1696 active cases in Victoria and 25 active in Queensland.
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? If you notice any symptoms, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible.
