?? COVID UPDATE - THURSDAY
?? No new cases in the Hunter-New England region over the past 24 hours - that's 41 consecutive days.
?? There are ZERO active cases currently in the Hunter-New England region.
?? There were just 5 new cases reported statewide over the past 24 hours. Of those, two are returned overseas travellers in hotel quarantine, two are linked to a known Sydney case or cluster, and one is still being investigated. The Premier today indicated that the case under investigation is likely to have been a false positive, so those figures overall are very good.
?? Just 27 new cases have been reported in Victoria over the past 24 hours and 8 more deaths. QLD has recorded just one new case over the same period.
?? Australia's death toll stands at 832, with the NSW toll still at 54 and Victoria's 745. There hasn't been a Covid-related death in NSW since August 16.
?? The number of active cases in NSW is 149. There are 941 active cases in Victoria, which is the first time the number has been below 1000 in more than two months. There are 27 active cases in Queensland.
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? If you notice any symptoms, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible.
