COVID UPDATE - MONDAY
The really good news from the past 24 hours is that Victoria has recorded only 11 new cases and two deaths, the lowest figures in more than three months.
There were no new cases in the Hunter-New England region over the past 24 hours - that's 45 consecutive days. There are ZERO active cases currently in the Hunter-New England region.
There were just 4 new cases reported statewide over the past 24 hours. Of those, three are returned overseas travellers in hotel quarantine, and one is linked to the Concord Hospital cluster.
Australia's death toll stands at 851, with the NSW toll now at 55 following the death of a man in his 70s on Saturday. Victoria's death toll is 763.
The number of active cases in NSW is 138. There are 657 active cases in Victoria and 17 in Queensland. There are 3 in WA but none in SA, TAS, NT or ACT.
The Premier and NSW Health have today both warned against complacency. The number of people fronting up for tests has dropped significantly over the past week. If you notice any symptoms, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible.
Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
