?? COVID UPDATE - TUESDAY Sept 29
?? The State's run of zeroes has come to an end, but there were just two new cases reported statewide over the past 24 hours and both are returned travellers already in hotel quarantine. The GREAT NEWS is that we've had no community transmission in NSW for four days (and only 1 case in the past week).
?? That of course means there were no new cases in the Hunter-New England region over the past 24 hours (that's 53 consecutive days) and we still have zero active cases in the Hunter-New England region.
?? There were 10 new cases reported in Victoria over the past 24 hours and 7 more deaths. No new cases in QLD.
?? Australia's death toll stands at 882, with the NSW toll still at 55 and Victoria's 794.
?? The number of active cases in NSW is 62 (down 10). There are 326 active cases in Victoria (down 33) and 8 in Queensland (steady). There are also 14 active cases in WA following that outbreak from a visiting cargo ship.
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? If you notice any symptoms, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible.
