COVID UPDATE - WEDNESDAY Sept 30
NO community transmission anywhere in NSW for the fifth day in a row! It's great news, but of course we must remain vigilant as the virus is still travelling in communities undetected. Please get tested if you're experiencing any symptoms.
Just four new cases reported statewide over the past 24 hours but all are returned travellers already in hotel quarantine.
That of course means there were no new cases in the Hunter-New England region over the past 24 hours (that's 54 consecutive days) and we still have zero active cases in the Hunter-New England region.
There were 13 new cases reported in Victoria over the past 24 hours and 4 more deaths. No new cases in QLD.
Australia's death toll stands at 886, with the NSW toll still at 55 and Victoria's 798.
The number of active cases in NSW is 62. There are 326 active cases in Victoria and 5 in Queensland. There are also 22 active cases in WA.
