?? A crew member aboard a coal ship berthed in Newcastle is being treated for Covid-19 after displaying symptoms. The man is being treated in John Hunter Hospital but results are not yet confirmed. NSW chief health officer Kerry Chant has confirmed that the man has NOT been anywhere in the local community and the rest of the ship's crew remain quarantined on board the ship. ?? Another 10 new cases have been reported in NSW over the past 24 hours. Of those, five are returned travellers in hotel quarantine.
?? The other five are linked to a known case or cluster (three are household contacts of a Liverpool Hospital case reported yesterday, one is a co-worker of a case at Liverpool Hospital and the other is an older case linked to a cluster in SW Sydney.
?? The Hunter-New England region has now gone 63 days without a new case being diagnosed, but that may change if the crew member from the ship is formally diagnosed later today.
?? There were 11 new cases reported in Victoria over the past 24 hours but no deaths. No new cases in QLD or WA.
?? Australia's death toll remains at 897, with the NSW toll still at 55 and Victoria's at 809.
?? The number of active cases in NSW is 27. There are 195 active cases in Victoria with 4 in Queensland and 11 in WA.
