?? COVID UPDATE - Saturday October 10
?? Just three new cases have been reported in NSW over the past 24 hours. One is the crew member of the ship berthed in Newcastle who acquired the virus while overseas. He remains in hospital quarantine. The other two are a casual nurse from St Vincents Hospital in Sydney and a close contact of hers.
?? Because the ship case was acquired overseas it is not included in local data, so the Hunter-New England region has now gone 64 days without a locally-acquired case.
?? There were 14 new cases reported in Victoria over the past 24 hours but no deaths. There was one new case in QLD but none anywhere else.
?? Australia's death toll remains at 897, with the NSW toll still at 55 and Victoria's at 809.
?? The number of active cases in NSW is 27. There are 192 active cases in Victoria with 4 in Queensland and 13 in WA.
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible.
