?? COVID UPDATE - Thursday October 15
?? The news is a little better today but the State remains at a significant crossroads in our fight to keep a lid on new Covid clusters in Sydney.
?? There were 11 new cases reported in NSW over the past 24 hours.
?? Of those, 5 are returned overseas travellers in quarantine. Of the remaining 6, four are linked to a known case or cluster and were already isolating, and the remaining two are still under investigation but are thought to be linked to the clusters in the SW Sydney area.
?? The Hunter-New England region has now gone 69 days without a locally-acquired case.
?? There were 6 new cases reported in Victoria over the past 24 hours and no deaths. One new case in QLD, one in WA and three in SA.
?? Australia's death toll remains at 904 with the NSW toll still at 55 and Victoria's at 816.
?? The number of active cases in NSW is 40. There are 182 active cases in Victoria, 2 in QLD, 19 in WA and 6 in SA. Tasmania, the ACT and NT remain Covid-free.
?? Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
?? Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested as soon as possible.
