?? A raft of changes to the current restrictions have been announced today and are effective from next Monday. Here's a brief summary, more info in the link:
?? The 1 person per 4 square metre rule will be reduced to 1 person per 2 square metres in all venues (hospitality, retail and places of worship), with the exception of gyms and nightclubs.
?? Yes, dancing is back, with a restriction of 50 people on an indoor dancefloor allowed.
?? Up to 100 people allowed at an outdoor gathering, such as a park.
?? Up to 5000 people allowed at outdoor events (seated, ticketed and fenced). Two square metre rule still applies.
?? Up to 3000 people allowed at outdoor events such as community sport, protests etc.
?? Up to 50 people allowed to sing at an indoor venue such as a church or choir.
?? No caps on the number of people at weddings or funerals.
?? People will be allowed to stand at hospitality venues, but only in outdoor areas.
