COVID UPDATE - Thursday January 14
ZERO COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION IN NSW
The good news today is that there's been zero new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW over the 24 hours to 8pm. Hopefully that trend continues. There were2 new cases among the returned overseas travellers, however.
The Hunter-New England region has now gone 160 days without a locally-acquired case.
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
The number of active cases in NSW continues to fall, down 18 in the past 24 hours to 173. Victoria has 29, there are 27 in QLD, 15 in WA, 12 in SA and 19 in the NT. Tasmania and the ACT have zero.
Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately
