The Premier has announced some changes to Covid restrictions. These changes apply only to Greater Sydney, the Central Coast and Wollongong - any current restrictions in Lake Macquarie and the Hunter remain in place.
From January 29, the wearing of masks will be recommended but NOT COMPULSORY in supermarkets and retail venues on the Central Coast and in Sydney. Masks will remain compulsory for hospitality staff, on public transport, places of worship, beauticians, hair salons and gaming rooms.
If you're visiting friends or family on the Central Coast or Sydney, 30 people will now be allowed indoors, or 50 if outdoors, in line with what we have in Lake Macquarie.
Weddings and funerals capped at 300 seated guests. No singing or dancing, except for the bridal party.
