Page is back from Facebook exile!

After a brief involuntary break from Facebook, my Page is back!
The stoush between the Government and Facebook has been quite extraordinary and I hope that it is resolved soon.
Facebook has become extraordinarily powerful and in my opinion has become so important as a means of connection to the wider community for many, that there is a special obligation they have created for themselves to maintain that important flow of information. Not the conspiracies and vile videos and live streams they have allowed on their platform, but the facts, news, information about the operation of emergency services, charities, education facilities and community groups.
I appreciate that Facebook have apologised for the blocking of so many Australian sites that aren't news sites. How this is resolved I don't know, but I do know that the ability for quality journalism to remain relies on income, income that has clearly reduced which is evident by the massive changes in the news offerings in Australia and perhaps across the world over recent years.
We appreciate the ability to provide the Lake Macquarie community with timely facts and information via Facebook and hope that our followers continue to find our information useful.
