COVID UPDATE - Friday March 12
There were 4313 vaccinations in NSW yesterday, bringing the State's total so far to 31,313. The vaccination hub at John Hunter Hospital will open on Monday, but only frontline health staff are eligible for vaccinations at this stage.
There were no new cases of community transmission in NSW for the 54st consecutive day. The Hunter Region has now gone 218 days without a locally-transmitted case.
NSW currently has 56 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine).
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 of those in NSW.
