Belmont hub open for AZ bookings

ADVICE FROM Hunter Health HNE Health:
The Belmont hub will start providing the AstraZeneca vaccine from 10 August, with bookings open from tomorrow, 4 August.
People can secure their booking via the federal eligibility checker.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is currently available to anyone 18 years and over, however informed consent needs to be provided. This means understanding the risks and benefits of vaccination using the latest information and advice from the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) and the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
We encourage anyone with concerns about receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine to speak to their GP before booking an appointment at the Belmont hub.
