HOSPITALISATIONS: There are 1156 people currently being treated for Covid-19 in NSW hospitals, with 207 in ICU and 89 requiring ventilators.
EXPOSURE SITES: HNE Health has released details of a number of new exposure sites, including several at Morisset, Cardiff and Speers Point, and also at Kurri, Cooks Hill, Wallsend and Taylors Beach. You can read more details of those sites here.
TREELOPPERS FINED (AGAIN!): Incredibly, tree loppers from the Sydney company fined $33,000 two weeks ago have been illegally door knocking and working in the Cardiff area. Police have arrested and charged six men from Sydney's west, alleging they were operating under a different business name. Full story in the Newcastle Herald here.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR BUSINESSES: All Lake Macquarie businesses are eligible to apply for the range of Covid-related financial assistance offered by the State Government. More details on the assistance available is on my website here.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR WORKERS: Individuals who have lost work hours are also eligible for the Covid-19 Disaster Payment. More details here.
TESTING: Testing numbers in the local area are again low. Please get tested if you experience the mildest of symptoms, particularly if you've been near any of the exposure locations.
