¿ COVID UPDATE - 11.00am Friday October 22
¿ There were 345 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, with 61 of those in the Hunter-New England health district, including 10 in Lake Macquarie. These new cases take the total number in the latest Hunter outbreak to 2491.

¿ 17 are from Newcastle LGA

under investigation.
¿ 29 were infectious in the community. 22 were
isolating while infectious. 10 are still under
investigation.
¿ STATEWIDE:
- 92.7% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 76,594 tests
- 345 new locally acquired cases
- 0 new overseas acquired cases
- 345 total new cases
- 482 people in hospital
- 125 people in ICU
- 5 deaths
¿ EXPOSURE SITES: There were a couple of new exposure sites reported in the Hunter Region overnight, including EMF at Westfield Kotara. The full updated list of exposure sites is on the NSW Health website HERE.
¿ WALK IN VAX CLINIC FOR 12-15yo: This weekend, the following hubs will be participating in a Super Walk-in Weekend Pfizer vaccination event for 12-15 year olds on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October:
Muswellbrook – 9.30am to 12.30pm– Saturday and Sunday
Belmont Vaccination Hub – 8am to 2.45pm – Saturday and Sunday
Children aged 15 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian aged over 18 years. Remember to wear a mask and bring your Medicare card with you.
