¿ 19 NEW LOCAL CASES IN HUNTER REGION
¿ 40 in HNE HEALTH DISTRICT
¿ There were 187 new cases reported statewide in the past 24 hours, with 40 of those in the Hunter-New England Area Health District. Of those, however, just 19 are in the Hunter Region with 9 in Lake Macquarie.
¿ OF THE NEW LOCAL CASES IN THE HEALTH DISTRICT:
¿ 9 are from Lake Macquarie LGA
- 4 from Windale
- 3 from Belmont North
- 1 from Caves Beach
- 1 from Glendale
¿ 6 are from Newcastle LGA
- 3 from Mayfield
- 1 from Georgetown
- 1 from Maryland
- 1 from Wallsend
¿ 1 is from Port Stephens LGA
- 1 from Boat Harbour
¿ 3 are from Maitland LGA
- 1 from East Maitland
- 1 from Maitland
- 1 from Telarah

- 1 from Bootawa

¿ 22 of the total active cases are currently being
cared for in hospital. 3 are currently in ICU.
¿ 28 cases are linked, 7 are unlinked, 5 are still
under investigation.
¿ 18 were infectious in the community. 17 were
isolating while infectious. 5 are still under
investigation.
¿ STATEWIDE:
- 93.9% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 89.8% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 52,939 tests
- 187 new locally acquired cases
- 0 new overseas acquired cases
- 187 total new cases
- 264 people in hospital
- 48 people in ICU
- 7 deaths
¿ RESTRICTIONS EASED FOR FULLY VACCINATED: A raft of restrictions have been further eased today for those who are fully vaccinated. I posted details earlier today, but you can also read them on my website HERE.
