623 new cases have been recorded in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours, including 208 in Lake Macquarie. Hunter Region: 592 new cases. Statewide: 3,763 new cases.

¿ 623 new cases have been recorded in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours, including 208 in Lake Macquarie.
¿ Hunter Region: 592 new cases.
¿ Statewide: 3,763 new cases.
¿ There are now 5728 active cases in the Hunter health district.
¿ In positive news, our hospitalisation rates have gone down today - we have 11 people being treated for Covid in local hospitals, with 1 in ICU.
¿ Of the 623 new cases:
- 226 are from Newcastle LGA
- 208 are from Lake Macquarie LGA
- 97 are from Maitland LGA
- 33 are from Port Stephens LGA
- 20 are from Cessnock LGA
- 18 are from Mid Coast LGA
- 7 are from Tamworth Regional LGA
- 5 are from Singleton LGA
- 2 are from Muswellbrook LGA
- 2 are from Moree Plains LGA
- 1 is from Dungog LGA
- 1 is from Glen Innes LGA
- 1 is from Gunnedah LGA
- 1 is from Liverpool Plains LGA
- 1 is from Narrabri LGA

- 94.9% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.4% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 81.5% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.1% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 151,443 tests
- 3,763 total new cases
- 302 people in hospital
- 40 people in ICU
- 2 deaths

Given the latest news, there are delays at all local testing centres and some people are waiting more than two hours.
