Covid update: Sunday

Happy Boxing Day! Here's today's Covid update. Please remember that my staff and I are spending some time with family and won't be able to respond to all questions today. Below however are links to NSW Health for any urgent information you may need.
COVID UPDATE - 11AM, SUNDAY DECEMBER 26
510 new cases have been recorded in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours, including 188 in Lake Macquarie.
Hunter Region: 414 new cases.
Statewide: 6394 new cases, but no deaths were recorded in the State again yesterday.
There are now 6855 active cases in the Hunter health district.
We now have 16 people being treated for Covid in local hospitals, with 2 in ICU.
Of the new cases in the health district:
- 188 are from Lake Macquarie LGA
- 89 are from Newcastle LGA
- 41 are from Tamworth Reg. LGA
- 40 are from Cessnock LGA
- 40 are from Maitland LGA
- 24 are from Port Stephens LGA
- 16 are from Upper Hunter LGA
- 14 are from Mid Coast LGA
- 11 are from Narrabri LGA
- 10 are from Armidale LGA
- 10 are from Singleton LGA
- 6 are from Moree Plains LGA
- 4 are from Muswellbrook LGA
- 4 are from Inverell LGA
- 3 are from Gunnedah LGA
- 3 are from Dungog LGA
- 3 are from Walcha LGA
- 2 are from Gwydir LGA
- 1 is from Liverpool Plains
- 1 is from Tenterfield LGA
STATEWIDE
- 95% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.5% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 81.6% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.3% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 109,545 tests
- 6,394 total new cases
- 458 people in hospital
- 52 people in ICU
- 0 deaths
