Covid update - Wednesday

COVID UPDATE - 11am, WEDNESDAY JANUARY 12
3410 new cases have been recorded in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours, including 680 in Lake Macquarie.
Hunter Region: 2650 new cases.
We now have 27,168 active cases in the health district.
We also have 101 local people being cared for in our hospitals, and 10 are in ICU.
Statewide: 34,759 new cases, and 21 more deaths.
REGISTER YOUR POSITIVE RAT TEST: People who have tested positive to Covid in the past few weeks via a Rapid Antigen Test (and not a PCR test) can now register their result through Service NSW. Full details on my website HERE.
Sadly, two more deaths have been recorded in the region. They include a man in his 80s from the Port Stephens area and a man in his 50s from the Lake Macquarie area. My sincere condolences go out to their families and friends.

STATEWIDE
- 95.1% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 93.7% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 81.6% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.1% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 134,411 tests
- 34,759 total new cases
- 2,242 people in hospital
- 175 people in ICU
- 21 deaths
