Covid update - Friday

Following advice from ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation), NSW Health clinics have now made (Pfizer) booster vaccinations available for those aged 16-17 years. So everyone 16+ is now able to get a booster.
¿ COVID UPDATE - 11.50am, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 4
¿ Following advice from ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation), NSW Health clinics have now made (Pfizer) booster vaccinations available for those aged 16-17 years. So everyone 16+ is now able to get a booster.
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 57 (up 4 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 4 (up 1 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2494 (down 84 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 160 (stable, 75 on ventilation)
¿ New cases in Hunter Health district since yesterday: 1358 (down 278 on previous day, 590 PCR and 768 RAT)
¿ Covid cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks 7693 (down 435 on previous day's figure).
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 10,698 (down 1934 on the previous day, PCR 4576 + 6122 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 31 (down 7 since yesterday). This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1520 (in Australia 4056).
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 1 (a woman aged in her 70s from Singleton LGA). My sincere condolences go out to her family and friends.)

¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.5% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 42.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.3% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.6% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 41.6% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
