In good news today, the downward trend on all figures shows that we've definitely passed the peak of the Omicron wave. There are still question marks over the accuracy of daily case numbers, but significant falls in hospitalisation and ICU

¿ In good news today, the downward trend on all figures shows that we've definitely passed the peak of the Omicron wave. There are still question marks over the accuracy of daily case numbers, but significant falls in hospitalisation and ICU numbers over the past week certainly support the argument that things have improved. Of course, there is still a lot of Covid in our community, so please continue to use some simple common sense when out and about.
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 49 (down 4 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 1 (down 4 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2099 (down 222 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 137 (down 10 since yesterday)
¿ New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 855 (down 71 on previous day's figure. 331 PCR + 524 RAT).
¿ Covid cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks 6974 (down 238 on previous day's figure).
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 7893 (down 456 on the previous day, PCR 3520 + 3917 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 14 (down 14 since yesterday). This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1580.

¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.5% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.1% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 43.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.4% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.7% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 43.1% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
