Covid update - Tuesday

Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 50 (up 1 since yesterday). Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 2 (up 1 since yesterday). Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2068 (down 31 since yesterday).
¿ COVID UPDATE - 11.45am, TUESDAY FEBRUARY 8
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 50 (up 1 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 2 (up 1 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 2068 (down 31 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 132 (down 5 since yesterday, 61 on ventilation)
¿ New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 1304 (up 449 on previous day's figure. 283 PCR + 1021 RAT).
¿ Covid cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks 6548 (down 426 on previous day's figure).
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 9690 (up 1797 on the previous day, PCR 2880 + 6810 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 18 (four more than yesterday). This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1598 (in Australia 4298).
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 2 (A man in his 70s and a man in his 90s. One was from Cessnock LGA and one was from Newcastle LGA. My sincere condolences go to their families and friends.)
¿ I'm aware of a number of local schools which have had small clusters of new cases. So far these have been managed very well. More information on all the requirements and protocols relating to schools, outbreaks and isolation rules for parents and carers of school-aged children HERE.
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.5% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.1% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 44% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.4% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.6% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 43.2% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
