Covid update - Wednesday

Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 47 (down 3 since yesterday). Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 4 (up 2 since yesterday). Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 1906 (down 162 since yesterday).
¿ COVID UPDATE - 11.25am, WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 9
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 47 (down 3 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 4 (up 2 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 1906 (down 162 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 132 (stable, 61 on ventilation)
¿ New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 1550 (up 246 on previous day's figure. 637 PCR + 913 RAT).
¿ Covid cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks 6226 (down 322 on previous day's figure).
¿ New cases statewide since yesterday: 10,312 (up 622 on the previous day, PCR 4351 + 5961 RAT)
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 20 (two more than yesterday). This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1618 (in Australia 4346).
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 2 (One man aged in his 60s and one man in his 80s. One was from Cessnock LGA and one was from Newcastle LGA. My sincere condolences go to their families and friends.)
¿ I'm aware of a number of local schools which have had small clusters of new cases. So far these have been managed very well. More information on all the requirements and protocols relating to schools, outbreaks and isolation rules for parents and carers of school-aged children HERE.
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.5% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.1% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 44.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.4% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.7% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 43.6% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
