Covid update - Saturday

COVID UPDATE - 12.20pm, SATURDAY FEBRUARY 19
Some substantial falls in today's numbers which is great news. Please remember that changes to the mask, QR code, density limit and dancing/singing rules have been brought forward. Some are already in effect with the remainder effective from next Friday. I've got a summary of those rules HERE.
Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 28 (9 less than yesterday)
Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 2 (down 1 since yesterday)
Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 1297 (down 84 since yesterday)
Covid patients in NSW ICU: 81 (down 11 on the previous day, 40 on ventilation)
New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 1092 (down 291 on previous day's figure - 393 PCR + 699 RAT).
New cases statewide since yesterday: 7615 (down 1628 on the previous day, PCR 2847 + 4768 RAT)
New cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks: 3955 (down 165 on previous day's figure)
Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 12 (3 less than the previous day). This brings the total number of lives lost to Covid in NSW to 1813 (in Australia 4878).
Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 0 for the third consecutive day.

STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 95.7% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.2% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 50.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.6% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 78.9% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 46.3% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
