COVID UPDATE - 11AM, SATURDAY MARCH 12 Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 21 Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 1 Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 966 Covid patients in NSW ICU: 40 (15 requiring ventilation) New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 1,196 ( 403 PCR + 793 RAT). New cases statewide since yesterday: 12,850 (5,226 PCR + 7,264 RAT) Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 4 Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 1( A man in his 70s from Newcastle LGA). My sincere condolences go out to their family and friends.)
STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES- 95.9% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.4% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 56.7% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine*
- 83.6% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 79% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 48.2% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
