Thanks to our nurses, our doctors and health staff, our aged care staff, our police and ambos and other emergency services, and of course our retail and hospitality workers. ¿ COVID UPDATE - 11.30pm, SUNDAY APRIL 17 (Please keep in mind that some of today's figures are a little skewed because of the public holidays)
¿ New cases in Hunter-New England Health district in past 24 hours: 1329 (Down 719 on previous day's figure but still the highest of any health district in NSW, 248 PCR + 1081 RAT).
¿ Covid patients currently in Hunter Health district hospitals: 71 (Up 7 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in Hunter ICU: 3 (Up 1 since yesterday)
¿ Lives lost in the Hunter Health district over the past 24 hours: 2 (a man in his 90s from Uralla LGA and a man in his 70s from Great Lakes LGA. My sincere condolences go out to their families and friends).
¿ Cases in Lake Macquarie over the past four weeks: 6168 (Down 62 on the previous day).
¿ New cases statewide in past 24 hours: 9725 (Down 3876 on previous day, 3386 PCR + 6339 RAT)
¿ Covid patients currently in NSW hospitals: 1527 (Up 36 since yesterday)
¿ Covid patients in NSW ICU: 64 (Down 8 on previous day, 18 requiring ventilation)
¿ Lives lost in NSW over the past 24 hours: 6 (Down 12 on previous day)
¿ STATEWIDE VACCINATION RATES
- 96.1% of people aged 16+ have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 94.7% of people aged 16+ have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 61.8% of people have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 83.3% of people aged 12-15 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 79.6% of people aged 12-15 have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine
- 49.9% of people aged 5-11 have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine
