Federal snub leads to new funding call for Glendale interchange

ALL but one of the Hunter’s state MPs have joined forces to push for the NSW government to fund the next stage of the Glendale Interchange in the June budget. The next stage of the interchange again missed out on funding in this week’s federal budget, despite being declared a priority project by all 11 of the Hunter’s councils. Despite that setback, the Hunter’s Labor representatives and independent Lake Macquarie MP Greg Piper want the state government to take the lead and provide the $13 million needed to begin the next stage of the project.
