I have to applaud the State Government for waiving stamp duty on new and existing homes for first homebuyers. It's a good initiative on homes worth up to $650,000 and will help a lot of people.

Of course there's more that can be done in the area of housing affordability, but a lot of those things such as negative gearing and capital gains tax are in the federal government's hands. This is a good step in the right direction from Premier Berejiklian.
