James Allen has been a valued member of the Wyee Rural Fire Service Brigade since he joined in 2009 and has provided 15 years of dedicated service to both the Brigade and wider community. Throughout his service, James has developed extensive operational experience, achieving qualifications up to Crew Leader and specialist capabilities as a Breathing Apparatus Operator and Chainsaw Operator. His enthusiasm to learn new skills has made him a respected and trusted member of the Brigade. James has also contributed to brigade leadership and development, serving in a range of roles including Brigade Training Officer, Vice President, Deputy Captain and Senior Deputy Captain. He also mentors new members and is known for taking an active role in supporting brigade operations. His service was recently recognised at the NSW RFS Central Coast Volunteer Appreciation Day and District Medal Presentation where he was awarded the 15 years diligent service National Medal. James has already received the RFS Long Service Medal (10 Years), the Premier's Bushfire Emergency Citation and the National Emergency Medal with Clasp for the 2019–2020 Black Summer Fires.
