I wish the wonderful Lynne Howard, from Peter Pan Preschool in Wangi Wangi, a very happy and well-deserved retirement. Lynne has led Peter Pan Preschool for 29 years and, under her guidance, it became one of the most respected community-based early learning services in our region. As long-serving Director, Lynne was instrumental in the preschool earning an Exceeding National Quality Standard rating and developing innovative supports for children, including occupational and speech therapy programs. Lynne once said what she loved most about teaching children was "watching and being a part of the amazing changes and development a child goes through during their transition from the start of preschool till they are ready for school." Those words reflect the heart, compassion and dedication she brought to her work every day. Having attended many events at Peter Pan Preschool over the years, including its 60th birthday celebrations. That day saw hundreds of families and former students return in celebration, a clear sign of how highly regarded the preschool is. Thank you, Lynne, for being such a positive influence in so many young lives, and congratulations on an exemplary career.
