Michelle Deaves
I would like to acknowledge the selfless dedication with which Michelle Deaves has served the Wyee Rural Fire Brigade for the past decade. This milestone was officially recognised at the recent 2026 NSW RFS Central Coast Volunteer Appreciation Day and Medal Presentation, where she was presented with the Long Service Medal. Since joining the Brigade in 2015, Michelle has become an invaluable member, who has supported the brigade both during emergency operations and behind the scenes. During her time with the RFS Michelle has gained her Village Firefighter qualifications and developed specialist skills in areas including Navigation, Off Road Driving and First Aid Application and Trim and Cut Felled Trees. Michelle has also been at the forefront during some of the State's most difficult emergency periods, with her service recognised through the Premier's Bushfire Emergency Citation, the National Emergency Medal and the Black Summer Bushfire Clasp. Congratulations Michelle on earning your Long Service Medal, thank you for all the hard work you have put in with Wyee RFS and I hope you will continue in your active role for many years to come.
