COVID UPDATE - Thursday February 4
No new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW for the 18th consecutive day.
There's been a fair bit of media about a new case in Victoria yesterday and one in Perth late last week. At this stage, no new cases have emerged from either of those cases. If you've been in Perth or Melbourne over the past week, though, monitor for symptoms and get tested if any appear.
The Hunter-New England region has now gone 181 days without a locally-acquired case.
There were 3 new cases among the returned overseas travellers in hotel quarantine over the past 24 hours.
The number of active cases in NSW is down to 11. There are 21 in Victoria, 6 in QLD, 8 in WA, and 5 in SA. The NT, Tasmania and the ACT have zero active cases.
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
Please continue to stay safe, vigilant, maintain the social distancing, and wear a mask if you have to visit places where social distancing is difficult.
Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
