COVID UPDATE - Friday February 26 The good news rolls on (touch wood!) - no new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW over the past 24 hours, and that's the 40th day in a row. There were 4 new cases among the returned overseas travellers, and each of those were in quarantine at the time of their infectious period. The Hunter Region has now gone 204 days without a locally-transmitted case. The number of active cases in Victoria is 17. There are 11 in QLD, 3 in WA, 3 in SA and 1 in the NT. Tasmania, the ACT and NSW have zero active cases. Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria. Please continue to stay safe, vigilant and maintain the social distancing. Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
