COVID UPDATE - Wednesday March 3
No new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW for the 45th day in a row. There were 6 new cases among the returned overseas travellers in the past 24 hours.
The Hunter Region has now gone 209 days without a locally-transmitted case.
NSW has started including returned travellers in its 'active case' numbers in line with other States. NSW currently has 40 active cases (all returned travellers in quarantine). There are 8 in Victoria, 13 in QLD, 3 in WA, 3 in SA and 2 in the NT. Tasmania and the ACT have zero active cases.
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
