COVID UPDATE - Saturday March 6
All things still good - no new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW over the past 24 hours - that's 48 consecutive days. There were 3 new cases among the returned overseas travellers in the past 24 hours.
The Hunter Region has now gone 212 days without a locally-transmitted case.
NSW has started including returned travellers in its 'active case' numbers in line with other States. NSW currently has 56 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). There are 6 in Victoria, 24 in QLD, 3 in WA, 4 in SA and 2 in the ACT. The NT and Tasmania has zero active cases.
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
