For the 49th consecutive day there were no new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW. There were 2 new cases among the returned overseas travellers
¿ COVID UPDATE - Sunday March 7
¿ For the 49th consecutive day there were no new cases of community transmission anywhere in NSW. There were 2 new cases among the returned overseas travellers in the past 24 hours.
¿ The Hunter Region has now gone 213 days without a locally-transmitted case.
¿ NSW has started including returned travellers in its 'active case' numbers in line with other States. NSW currently has 56 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). There are 5 in Victoria, 25 in QLD, 4 in WA, 3 in SA and 2 in the ACT. The NT and Tasmania has zero active cases.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 in NSW and 820 in Victoria.
¿ Please continue to stay safe, vigilant and maintain the social distancing.
¿ Don't forget, if you have any symptoms, however minor, please self-isolate and get tested immediately.
