¿ COVID UPDATE - Monday March 22
¿ Just a quick Covid update, which I apologise for not getting to over the past few days!
¿ As you may have heard, there's been delays in the Federal Government getting the vaccines out to GPs and, in particular, regional areas. Without buying into those arguments, I'm hoping we'll see vaccinations ramp up significantly by the end of the week. So far, 51,607 people in NSW have been vaccinated.
¿ There has been no case of community transmission anywhere in NSW for the 5th day in a row, so those two cases at the quarantine hotel in Sydney a week ago have been contained.
¿ The Hunter Region has now gone 228 days without a locally-transmitted case.
¿ NSW currently has 57 active cases (all but one are returned travellers in quarantine). QLD has 58, Vic has 1, WA has 12, SA has 14, the ACT has 4 while the NT has 1. Tasmania has zero.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 of those in NSW.
