¿ COVID UPDATE - Tuesday March 30
¿ All still good in NSW, not so good in QLD with new health orders issued for anyone who has been in Brisbane or the Byron Bay area recently.
¿ If you have been in the Greater Brisbane area, or in the Byron Bay area since March 20, you must self isolate and get tested immediately if any symptoms appear. The latest advice here.
¿ There's been no new case of community transmission in NSW for the 13th day in a row, and just 5 new cases among the returned overseas travellers in quarantine. However, QLD has recorded another 8 cases of community transmission in the past 24 hours. While those cases are all close contacts of earlier cases, they remain a very big concern.
¿ The Hunter Region has now gone 236 days without a locally-transmitted case, and we hope it stays that way!
¿ NSW currently has 50 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). QLD has 78, WA has 13, Victoria has 1, SA has 16 and the NT has 2. The ACT and Tasmania have zero.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 of those in NSW.
