¿ COVID UPDATE - Thursday April 1
¿ If you're visiting the North Coast over the Easter weekend (even though I'd advise against it), be aware that restrictions are in place in the Byron, Lismore and Ballina shires. These rules include masks in indoor areas, caps on numbers allowed at homes etc. More details here.
¿ If you're a NSW resident and you've recently been in Greater Brisbane, please be aware that the public health order in NSW requires you to get tested and self-isolate for 14 days, or until you've received a negative test result. If you've been in QLD but not in the hotspot area around Brisbane, you are still required to fill out a declaration form before returning. Full details here.
¿ The Brisbane lockdown will end tonight as things appear contained at this stage.
¿ All remains relatively good in NSW. There is one case of community transmission in today's figures, but that is the Byron Bay case widely reported in the media yesterday.
¿ The Hunter Region has now gone 238 days without a locally-transmitted case.
¿ NSW currently has 48 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). QLD has 82, WA has 15, Victoria has 1, SA has 12 and the NT has 2. The ACT and Tasmania have zero.
¿ Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 of those in NSW.
