250 COVID-FREE DAYS IN THE HUNTER
COVID UPDATE - Tuesday April 13
Today marks 250 days since we had a case of community transmission in the Hunter-New England Health District. That's an extraordinary effort from the local community, as well as our frontline health staff. Well done everyone!
No community transmission anywhere in NSW over the past 24 hours, and just the five new cases in quarantine among the returned overseas travellers.
Despite the Federal rollout of the vaccines being pretty ordinary, there were a further 4359 vaccinations in NSW yesterday, bringing the State's total so far to 155,894. You can check eligibility criteria here: https://www.health.gov.au/.../when-will-i-get-a-covid-19...
NSW currently has 56 active cases (all are returned travellers in quarantine). QLD has 55, Victoria has 3, WA has 10, SA has 5 and the NT has 5. The ACT and Tasmania have zero.
Australia's death toll remains at 909 with 56 of those in NSW.
