Update on Hillsborough Rd widening plan

Just a quick update on plans to widen the single-lane sections of Hillsborough Rd and install traffic lights at the Crockett St and Chadwick St intersections. You'd remember we secured $35m in the State Budget to do the work, and community consultation was held shortly after that. Transport for NSW has now produced a report on that community feedback which included access to and from Crockett St, access to the dog showground, access to the golf club and cycleways. We're not likely to see actual construction begin for some time as preliminary design work etc still needs to be done, but the project is funded and moving ahead. More HERE.
