WWII veteran Alf Carpenter dies, aged 105

Saddened to learn of the passing of Alf Hamilton who only recently celebrated his 105th birthday. Alf was a WWII veteran (New Guinea, Greece/Mediterranean) and while he was a member of the Merewether-Hamilton-Adamstown sub-branch of the RSL he was very well known to many of our local Diggers. Alf, you remain an absolute Australian legend and we will remember you always. Lest We Forget.
