Port's diversification plan full steam ahead

Great to join the Deputy Premier Paul Toole MP at the Port of Newcastle today.

I strongly believe that the port's diversification is vital to the future of our region, with billions in private investment and thousands of new jobs at stake here.

The Government was a solid supporter of my bill to provide a pathway for the port to diversify into container trade, and that support hasn't waivered.

We heard today that the Government has almost finalised the regulations associated with my Bill, so things are moving ahead as we anticipated.
