Lake Mac Parkrun celebrates a milestone

Lake Mac parkrun turned emerald this morning in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
In 2013 emerald was voted the colour of the year as it represents community spirit and well being, and that really is what Lake Mac parkrun is all about.
It's a fantastic event which brings together the Lake Macquarie community. People of all ages and levels of fitness are able to participate and I thoroughly enjoyed joining today's 500 parkrunners.
Over the past decade a total of 133,221 parkrunners have taken part in the event, helped by a huge 1813 volunteers.
