The people always get it right

 Election day tomorrow. I've always let my record speak for itself but that never takes the anxiety away.
 One thing I know for sure is that, regardless, the voters always get it right!
 Of all the things we've achieved, it's the little things that I'm most proud of. It's the thousands of individuals who call or email or walk through the office door needing help with housing or health matters or personal matters. They're the things that matter most in a community like ours and where the real work and hard yards are done.
 So I thank my amazing staff for what they do every day. I also thank my family and wife Lyn for their unwavering support.
 Most of all though I thank you for being an incredible and supportive community. It's not just an honour but a privilege to represent Lake Macquarie in the State Parliament, especially as a community-led Independent. I certainly hope we get to do that for another four years from tomorrow.
