Flu season has certainly set in, with a major uptick in influenza and COVID-19 cases being seen with the colder weather.

Don't forget to wash your hands, cover your mouth and call in sick for work if you're too unwell to go.

Keeping sick kids home from school can drastically reduce the risk of spreading influenza which is currently wreaking havoc on our little ones.

The flu vaccine is free for people at high risk including children aged 6 months to under 5 years of age, people aged 65 years or over, people with serious health conditions, pregnant women and Aboriginal people (administration or consultation fees may apply – ask your doctor for more info).

If it has been 6 months since your last COVID-19 vaccination or infection, you are eligible and may be recommended for a free COVID-19 booster.
