Speers Point Roundabout

Many Lake Macquarie residents experience the frustration of traffic bottlenecks at Speers Point every day. Today we came a step closer to a solution to congestion issues around Five Islands Road and TC Frith Avenue.

It was great to welcome Premier Chris Minns, Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Jenny Aitchison MP and Minister for The Hunter Yasmin Catley MP to Lake Macquarie where they confirmed an additional $6 million in funding to fix congestion issues at the Speers Point roundabout. This is on top of the $5 million secured in the 2022 budget.

I also took the opportunity to discuss other local issues with Premier and to introduce him to some of the Lake Macquarie community.
