Spring Orchids

Spring has certainly sprung!

Keen eyes might be needed to notice some of our stunning native orchids creeping out of hiding to put on beautiful displays as the weather warms up.

Check out this unique and beautiful Red Bearded Orchid (Calochilus Paludosus) which was spotted in Kilaben Bay bushland this week.

If you’ve spotted any native orchids be sure to admire them where they are, as some of our local orchids are threatened and removing or picking the plants and flowers can endanger the survival of the species.
